Psychotherapy

Choosing a therapist is a big decision and there are many factors to consider. Prior to scheduling our initial psychotherapy appointment, I offer a phone consultation to help determine next steps. If we decide to move forward with psychotherapy, I begin all therapeutic relationships with an assessment period that will last several weeks. It is during this time that we will discuss your reason for seeking counseling, gather pertinent individual/family history and explore what you hope to glean from our work together.

I work across the lifespan with individuals, families and groups. I am committed to inclusivity and diversity and strive to practice in a way that is respectful and accountable. Some of my treatment specialties include:

Clinical Supervision

My approach to clinical supervision is reflective, empathetic and nonjudgmental. My aim is to help students find answers to their own questions while providing a base of knowledge that may encourage the next stage of development to occur. My approach to clinical supervision is also developmental and tailored to meet students in a way that is conducive to their professional and personal development.

Alternative Training in Drama Therapy

As the North American Drama Therapy Association’s Handbook of Alternative Training states: “Alternative Training (AT) was created as a means of acquiring coursework, academic training, and clinical experience in another approved route of training in addition to NADTA’s approved Masters Degree programs in drama therapy.” As a Board Certified Trainer, I serve as a liaison between the North American Drama Therapy Association and student; offering academic advising, training opportunities and mentorship.
